I don’t know what’s more exciting – hearing a new Moon Duo album after the breathtaking double punch of Occult Architecture and the covers 45 last year, or the amazing cover art by Ardneks. This Indonesian artist has done some mind-blowing work this year for great bands like Sugar Candy Mountain and now Moon Duo. Stars Are the Light is fairly mainstream for a Moon Duo record – you might even want to dance to it. “Lost Heads” approaches the same kind of 90s territory as “The Sunshine Underground” and the title track smells like Neu. Get it from Sacred Bones, in the colour scheme of your liking.
