RECORD TURNOVER 80s HITS #5
Clio’s real name was Maria Chiara Perugini and she had a couple of hits in Italy in the 80s, most notably “Faces” which is one of my favourite italo disco records ever. The original 12″ on Crash goes for about 100 EUR these days. It came out the same year I was born, coincidentally. “Faces” simply has everything a dance record should have, including a great sleeve.
Also check out her debut single from 1984, called “Eyes”, which hasn’t aged quite as well despite being a fantastic tune.
