Esplendor Geométrico is one of the truly great industrial groups worldwide, even if they’ve probably maintained a more obsessive following in their native Spain. This year marks their 40th anniversary and they are still making new music, with several releases this year. For record store day, their own Geometrik label reissued one of their early singles “Necrosis En La Poya” on 7″ vinyl. The three tracks are essential listening for fans of current industrial sounds and if you want to hear more, check out the Prehistoric Sounds compilation from 2012 that collects tracks from the group’s first two years of existence.
