Ela Stiles, who also plays in J. McFarlane’s Reality Guest and Scott & Charlene’s Wedding has been recording solo for many years – releasing her debut on Paradise Daily exactly four years ago. Back then she lived in Sydney and was a member of The Rangoons (also on Paradise Daily). After moving to Melbourne, she has been working on a follow-up, which still isn’t ready. But instead Stiles has just announced the October release of Songs On Harmonium With Voice, which is just that. A collection of old and new songs on the instrument that also featured on her debut. Check out the new track “Lover” which is both beautiful and starkly haunting. Half out of the other six are new songs to me.
