Another one from Digital Regress, this is a local Oakland band called Preening and they’re absolutely bonkers. The trio cuts loose on drums, bass and saxophone – and can really only be compared to some of the weirdest bands on Ron Johnson Records. Gang Laughter is their first full-length record. My favourite song is “Everything Is a T-shirt”, wish I’d thought of that title first. Check out their preceding EPs too, all completely non-essential listening.
