I was supposed to see Swedish artist Toxe in Copenhagen back in spring but I missed my chance, and I’m so relieved I got a new opportunity in Berlin a couple of weeks ago. Her perfomance was mind-blowing, especially the new tracks. At that point I had no idea that a new album was coming, and I even put “Wishing Well” on our latest Apple Turnover playlist. But now I feel like we need to give Bubble Treasure a proper feature. The title track is some of the best I’ve heard from her and I actually prefer the English language lyrics. Toxe’s been active for over a decade since her teenage beginnings but lately she’s reached entirely new levels. Self-released and self-produced, out since September 15.
