We don’t normally write about mainstream techno, but I have a soft spot for Mha Iri since my time in Australia. So despite the Scottish DJ and producer topping Beatport charts, I think the new EP is worth mentioning since it celebrates her post-punk roots. Now signed to the electronic imprint of PIAS, she’s mid-way into releasing records based around the four elements. After checking off earth, with Elements of Dance she delves into fire. Its 3 new tracks follows an EP on Drumcode earlier this year and there seems to be no end to her productivity. Kind of upset that I missed her set in Malmö not long ago.
