London weirdos Powerplant have a new single out on their own Arcane Dynamics imprint. The 7” includes two pieces of synth-punk that feel like a great return to form. The flip ”Never Smile” is the most pop moment to date, reminding me of the casually flung out pop masterpieces that The Serfs create when they put their mind to it. This came out yesterday, April 30, and I’m really digging this sleeve. There’s a great ironic video to go along with the a-side too.
