Lightheaded’s second album might be the best record issued by Slumberland in years. The New Jersey group have somehow gathered all the best parts of 90s throwback indie and made it sound not dated. Not even when indulging in overt 60s influences. Combustible Gems is just that, 8 tracks of classic songwriting exploding with hooks and lush arrangements. And it’s out in a couple of weeks.
