A friend of mine told me about this Isreali band called Cattivo and I haven’t been able to stop listening to them. Their first album came out a few months ago on the Tel Aviv label Holit Records and sounds like best twangy pop of 2010. Desert Ballroom is like Velvet Underground under sunny Tel Aviv skies and these 11 tracks are perfected by Eden Atiya’s vocals (also in Rasco).
