London techno label Khoinix have a new compilation out, and as always with them the level of quality they deliver is high. Whether it’s dark electro and industrial-flavoured sounds like that of Lvcerate from Kyiv or the hard breakbeats of Brutal Forms founder Skumring from Italy – this compilation impresses. Catastrophe is a digital 14-track release dedicated to raise awareness and funds for those affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
The track from Athen’s The Hanged Man (together with Abby Knives from Buenos Aires) probably lands as my fave here. Well-known names like Ethan Fawkes, Notausgang and Black Light Smoke also appear on the comp that was released back in March.
