Debt Rag is an exciting new group from Olympia that grew out of Wet Drag with Marissa Magic, who’s also in gSp. The other two members have played in Preening and the much-missed Grass Widow. In March their first album Lost to the Fantasy is coming out on Post Present Medium, but you can check out a video of “Cognitive Whirlpool” right now. The angular and experimental 10-track record was cut in Olympia by Dave Harvey, who has recorded so many of the city’s great bands from Hysterics to Stiff Love.
