Patriarchy, the LA-based industrial synth project that was started by Actually Huizenga and Andrew Means a few years ago, has returned. Except this time it’s Actually by herself that is behind the music – with some help from producer Matia Simovich who has previously worked with Boy Harsher as well as Dais artists Riki and SRSQ. The Unself is the first Patriarchy record since the 2019 debut and bears the mark of development and growth. Out on Dero Arcade next month, this is a 10-track album that sounds cleaner and more retro than its predecessor.
