The state of Victoria has just gone into lockdown once more, resulting in cancellation of gigs again. Hopefully it won’t affect the release schedule of local labels again, since I’m really looking forward to this new LP from Spiritual Mafia – set for release on Anti Fade a month from now. Alfresco is the work of familiar faces from bands like Cuntz, Exek, Ausmuteants and Spray Paint. How do you record an album with people spread so far apart? Well, apparently Chris Stephenson of Spray Paint is now living in Australia. Check out the first single “Body” and dig the Stoogesy groove. In the US the LP is available from Ever/Never.
