INIT

A recent discovery that turned out to be a pleasant surprise was listening to Benedikt Frey and Nadia D’Alo’s common project INIT. Based in Berlin, they’ve already released one record in 2015 and the new one, called Gravity, comes in a sleeve that reminds me of classic 90s Warp releases. INIT possess the same eagerness for experimentation, blending minimal wave, house and acid. Big drum breaks sit side by side with melodious vocals and moody synthesizers. The tape was released on Spanish label Hivern Discs in November.
