Italian boutique label Commando Vanessa is celebrating one year with a lavish tape compilation called Mansplained!. The tracklisting will be revealed soon, with each track accompanied by a video. Today we are premiering the first one, “You Are Asked to Feel At Ease In a Place Where You Will Never Belong” by Romanian artist Lili Putana. The artist presents this project as “a character created for the performative space, who exaggerates female stereotypes, and who through her assumed aesthetics questions the ‘feminine qualities’ created by an oppressive and insecure system”.
Also included on the compilation are great tracks from Colombian artist Black Propaganda, Flawed God from LA and The Marquis from Berlin.
