Jerome is a new musical project formed in London by classically trained artists Annalisa Iembo and Stella Mathioudakis, who wanted to get away from the rigours of that idiom. Moods was recorded across London, Gothenburg and Italy and features drum machines, samples, pedals and sequencers in collage-like a work that traces the outskirts of industrial and electro-acoustic to arrive in an unexplored landscape. The 15-minute “ITSTHEWATER” is some of the best experimental music released in 2020, not too dissimilar from Phew’s recent work. Out on Maple Death and Crochet Disques last week.
