The Floaties

Geelong label Weather Vane Records, who gave us the first Lymes tape, have release the debut 45 from local band The Floaties. The Now In Colour EP was recorded by Billy Gardner of Living Eyes and comes with a 3D sleeve designed by Darcy of Moth. The four songs on the record sound a lot like early Anti Fade output like Living Eyes or Cobwebbs, but with vocals inspired by Ian Curtis. Standout track “Dead Right” is something completely different, coming off like an early demo by Killing Joke or Echo & the Bunnymen.
