Moontown Records is a Sydney label that’s been going since 2012, mostly releasing tapes. Their only release last year was this cassette from Troth. Troth is a duo from Newcastle made up of Cooper Bowman (of Altered States Tapes) and Amelia Bessen. The Our Opaque Wreath EP is their first offering and consists of stark electronics. The title track definitely makes me think of early Dead Can Dance and their ominous sound. Always great to hear new bands making use of field recordings.
