Acrylics from Santa Rosa returned with a new record a month ago, and their first full-length to boot. Sinking In is out on Iron Lung and explores its thematically dark content through some unusually long tracks for this genre. The bleak title track takes four full minutes to ‘sink in’ with its eerie outro. On “Harm” they bring the tempo down, only to finish in double time. Other tracks, like “New Face” and “Awake” are relentless hardcore tunes that hardly give you time to stop and breathe.
