Two of Filmmaker’s aliases have been reactivated this year. At the beginning of May, the straight-up electro project Renderer had a new album out on Chromaudio. Chromaudio is a new label from main man Faunes Efe, but I guess now his old label Body Musick is also active again. Computer Visions can be purchased on bandcamp, but you can also hear the full album below. 8 crunchy and funky tracks recorded in just one take.
Meanwhile, Body Musick released Incurable – the second album from Psychick Wound, which has been called his ‘minimal wave’ side project. I was a bit confused first, since we wrote about the first album in 2021, and the new one says ‘2024’ on bandcamp but I think this might be a mistake. Either way, it’s a great record and like Renderer sadly only available digitally so far.
