Sometimes youtube is a goldmine. In one sentence they’ve demystified Hunting Scene: “A trio formed by Hollis Mann, Marcel LeBlanc, Thomas J. Beckman, who are also active under other projects released under the same imprint, Grouse Editions”.
They’ve already put out two fine albums on tape, but here’s their first ever LP. Naturally, it’s coming out on Grouse in the next few days. Spayard is a 16-track album of neo-folk at its best. It’s actually part of an incredible release schedule from Grouse this month. They’ve already put out two lathe 7” and have another seven releases coming, one of which is this LP. As usual you can count on picking up a copy from Signal in Chicago.
