Kilynn Lunsford

I really loved the previous album by New Jersey-based artist Kilynn Lunsford and fondly remember airing ”Sewerland” in DJ sets. Now the time has come for Lunsford to release her second album and Feel It are helping her make that happen. She’s by no means new to the underground music scene – having played for years in bands like Taiwan Housing Project (together with Kevin of Tyvek). And you can tell that the sound of Promiscuous Genes is an amalgamation of many influences as well a wide personal practice.

These 15 tracks refuse to be pigeonholed but of course owe a lot to 80s post-punk. Check out the video for ”Nice Quiet Horror Show”.
