This image is from Jjulius’ gig at Intonal festival two years ago. As Intonal 2025 just finished it struck me that we’ve yet to write about Jjulius’ new and third album that came out in March. Vol. 3 sticks to the concept both visually and taxonomically, but the music feels freer this time – inviting collaborators like Nathan Roche (CIA Debutante) and not just partner and label co-founder Loopsel. Of course, the LP came out on Mamma’s Mysteriska Jukebox but also on the esteemed DFA. Which is cool considering these 10 tracks are in Swedish and probably won’t make much sense to a US audience.
