In Prague for Lunchmeat festival this week, and one local artist who is not performing but worth checking out is Martyyna. She actually played the festival a few years ago, when her debut album came out. As Martyyna, Martina Svobodova makes experimental electronic music and Written In the Scars was released by CDMX label Infinite Machine who’ve also worked with Entrañas, Microhm and Softmatter. This year she released Informal Taipei, which is an extension of her PhD research into the informal urban structures of the Taiwanese capital. It holds five ambient tracks using field recordings and drawing on psychogeography.
