P.P. Rebel, or Paris Rebel Richens, is a member of Naarm group Parsnip and released a solo album back in 2019. Now she is back with a new record on the same label – Anti Fade – together with Daff Gravolin (ORB), Tristan Davies and Matt Harkin. Devotee is a response to Richens starting to practice Kriya Yoga, doing mediation and chants. She became a disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda in 2021 and this new spiritual depth has of course rubbed off into her songwriting. The 7-track LP is out on Anti Fade October 2 and two tracks are on preview below.
