Next week Prague’s Lunchmeat Festival kicks off and we will be there. This audiovisual festival has been going all the since 2010, with public funding and organised by the people behind Lunchmeat Studio who specialise in immersive audiovisual projects.
With a programme that isn’t divided into headliners and supports – this year they are presenting Autechre live which feels like a typical headliner to me. Except they are playing on a Sunday.
Tickets are still available so if you are thinking about joining us at the National Gallery in Prague here are a few artist worth checking out.

nan Cifra is the new moniker of Czech composer and musician Natálie Pleváková and she will performing material from her upcoming debut album. She’s doing a live AV show called Tangled in Narratives and will also be incorporating an instrument called the Harpo. It’s a reinvented harp transformed with new sonic and aesthetic qualities designed by Slovakian artist Magdalena Rybanská.

Safety Trance from Venezuela, real name Luis Garbán, released one of our favourite albums of 2026 and will be presenting his AV show Destrucción. It has previously appeared at Silent Green in Berlin, but it was before I arrived, so I’m really pleased I’ll be able to catch it at Lunchmeat.

Bapari from Los Angeles is one of most forward-thinking producers in our time and last year they put out the EP called Evermore. Arielle Baptiste has worked with artists like fka Twigs and Shygirl and is also a resident on NTS with the show Puffy. For Lunchmeat they will be presenting a brand new live AV.

American DJ and producer umru, real name Umru Rothenberg, has been a household name ever since producing Charli XCX back in 2017. He’s based in New York and since then he has released a number of EPs and also created the amazing track “Lose Control” together with Ouri. He will be doing a DJ set on the Friday night of Lunchmeat, before Nunguja takes to the stage.
