Considering I’ve been such an avid fan of kwia it’s a shame I didn’t even mention their first release as a label. Something which happened last year, and while the venue may now be closed, they put out a new one today. The project is still very much alive and even though they won’t be located by the Maybachufer anymore I’m sure they will continue to create beautiful moments. For the release of kwia002 today September 18 they have curated a one-off event at the THF tower in Tempelhof.
The new cd contains 10 tracks that give shape to a collective memory of their home of five years. Not only did they provide ambient with a new stronger presence, they also platformed a lot of new artists. Torus, umru (here with DJH), kissen (collabing with stone, and pictured above) and Why Be are a few of my favourite selections.
