While we’re on the subject of Hospital Productions, let’s discuss Fernow friend and collaborator Jim Mroz. Mroz released a new album as Lussuria through Hospital back in February, called Fresco. The LP has 8 tracks of dark ambient and sold out quickly. Lussuria is currently on tour and I count on catching him in Berlin next week, where is supported by Birthed among others.
There’s also a brand new cassette, which is up for pre-order now. It’s a collaboration with Richard Ramirez and also on Hospital. Factory Incense featured 4 tracks, each around ten minutes long. The Texas-based Ramirez is another legend in noise music, both with releases under his own name and with Black Leather Jesus. Teaming up with New York-based Mroz seems like something that came very naturally to both of them.
