From Hell to Disco is a new label from Barcelona instigated by Carmilla Sioux (pictured above with Newborn Ghost). After releasing one of her singles last year, their first proper release came out back in the spring. Called Inferno Vol. 1, it’s a 12” that hints at many more good things to come. The 8 tracks included will take you back to simpler times, when the EBM/industrial sound was everywhere, as punk and hardcore artists crossed over into electronic music production. Asymetric80 from Barcelona, for example, has been making music for years – as has Nghtly from Italy and Alpha Sect from Greece. My favourite track though, is Sioux’s own contribution.
