The Berlin-based Venezuelan producer Manao delivers his debut full-length for International Chrome. RE:DUX is a 10-track cd that delivers on a lengthy and promising career. You might remember his collaboration with Viikatory on Dance Trax, or EPs on Unknown to the Unknown and more recently on his own label Onca. There are elements of bass music on here, with heavy breaks but also stylistically open-ended compositions that draw equally on Latin rhythms and underground club music – similarly to Miss Jay.
