It was six years ago that American label Dark Entries put out the compilation Endangered Species Vol. 1 – a set of global underground tunes from the 80s. September 4 the new and much more expansive second volume arrived. This one features 11 tracks from Russia, Canada, Belgium, UK, Germany and so on. There’s a track from legendary Italian producer Alexander Robotnick, later released with a different vocal by Gina & the Flexix. The duo of Goettel and cEvin Key is actually a meeting between Psyche and Skinny Puppy members, and Olga Vosconyan’s track is actually from a car commercial. There’s so much here to dig into so go ahead.
Pictured above is smalltown Scottish group Altres who have appeared on Dark Entries before but there track here from 1985 is unreleased.
