Synthetic Water Music is a compilation from the Slovakian label mappa and one in a series of three. It follows Synthetic Bird Music from 2023 and was created for their tenth anniversary. This double cassette includes over 50 tracks and must have been a huge task to curate and compile. The artists included are either friends of the label, artists who have released on mappa or played their events. Some of the names you may recognise here are Lau Nau, Lamina, Diane Barbé, Jules Reidy, sofi and Pauline Anna Strom. The founders of the similarly aquatically themed label Gravity Pleasures slyn (pictured) and Slowfoam also appear here – the latter collaborating with Pablo Diserens.
