Daniella Ljungsberg is back on Orthodox with a new album, and can you believe it’s the fifth from the Swedish artist so far. Now based in Berlin again, this record has been a longtime in the making and still has the sound of the woods in Sweden. Other Plans effortlessly transports you to a John Bauer-like landscape, where nothing is quite what is seems. Seemingly simple, but intricately layered, these 7 tracks are melancholy yet not downcast. “Vandrar trött” (walking tiredly) sums up this mood perfectly, putting the listening in a hazy, mild delirium. It’s out on vinyl (finally) October 2. The opening track also features Avraham Kober.
