Splint sees Berlin-based Naemi (also known as Exael) return to a slightly more ambient approach. After the more band-oriented sound of last year’s breathless, shorn – this EP opens and closes with ambient pieces, while the other three tracks are more melodic and features guitar (but still no drums). It came out through their own bandcamp August 5 and the artist refers to it as a spontaneous release to ‘clear the cache’. And says that there should be an Exael release coming out before the end of the year.
