Tunisian producer Youssef Lakhoua, also known as Isotryk, arrives on Los Angeles label Spektator with an EP full of heavy breakbeats and lots of layered percussion. The 4 tracks that make up Exercise are lowkey techno gems that rely on haunted atmospheres, sounding punishing in Spiderwrap’s master. It’s a nice match for the label, as they expand their sound, and it shows how versatile the Tunisian scene is as the moment. Out digitally since July 10.
