A few years ago we wrote about San Francisco artist Tricky FM‘s album on local label Cherub Dream. Come late September, the follow-up Twin Star Fantasy is coming out on the same label. Tricky FM still is just Hana Freed and on this 9-track digital release she works with an open rulebook while borrowing equally from hyperpop, ambient and bedroom pop. You can listen to the first single ”Sugar In My Drink” below and now that James K has more or less patented this sound there should be plenty of room for other talented artists like Tricky FM to gain wider recognition.
