The Chutes is the duo of Kenneth Turner and Erika Calderon-Turner from San Francisco. Kenneth has played in local hardcore groups before, but for their debut as The Chutes they have adopted a 80s-inspired guitar pop sound that has hardly been heard since The Autocollants. There’s nothing new about their self-titled EP, they just do it really well. Check out the video for opening track ”Scraping the Last Bits of Light” below.
