Mar-Vista was the duo of Claude Cuvelier and Jean Skowron, formed in Lille around 1973. They were inspired by people like Terry Riley but also German acts like Neu!, Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream. Their track “Her Eyes Are Closed” opened the Born Bad compilation Kiosque d’Orphée from 2023. Now the French label have taken on the task of reissuing the whole album, released through that small private pressing plant. Visions of Sodal Ye (originally released in 1976) consisted of two sides composed by the respective artists and blended cosmic folk with early electronic experiments. On the reissue you also get some bonus tracks that were demos from the unrealised follow-up, as well as improvised live recordings. The double-LP reissue came out in June.
