Sofie Birch is one of Denmark’s most unique artists due to the exquisite world building around her Ambient Abracadabra show on NTS and associated event series. July 21 she arrives on Belgian label Stroom with an anticipated new record called bivabippabualukka. It was produced together with Alfred Bundgaard and she says: “This music comes from a deep place of joy and connection with my brother and with the essense of being a child. Being filter free and in contact with the most uncomplicated and loving parts of ourselves.” There’s a strong bossa presence on the 13 tracks on the LP, with guest appearances from many talented musicians.
