Just when you thought this kind of frayed post-punk was out for the count, Mesh return five years after having teased us with the excellent tape on Born Yesterday. The Philly four-piece land on Feel It for their debut LP called No Fun At All. If you go back a few years, Feel It was brimming with inspiring punk-related releases (Maraudeur, Crime of Passing, The Drin, Sweeping Promises). Ironically, it’s been Sims Hardin of Mesh (and solo as Society) who has been keep the flame burning for DIY punk through his instagram recommendations, U2 Fest in Philly, and later Bandcamp Daily column. Allison Durham, of the outstanding Picture That, contributes perhaps even more to this release with her 12-string guitar playing. The 11-track LP is out July 24.
