Ela Stiles has a new EP out on Naarm label Felt Sense (who also put out her massive comeback record two years ago). Any title referencing Raspberries has me thinking of Prince, and so does the 4-track cd Rassberry that came out at the start of the month. It moves within a dub-based sound with huge reverb and Stiles’ soothing but cool vocal delivery. There’s also a clear triphop influence on tracks like “Careless”, where the vocals are completely buried in the mix. One of the other tracks features Louis Marlo, who is also credited for the photography for the release (@louismarlo_)
