Angels In America is an almost legendary duo from New York. Its two members Esra Padgett and Mark Iosifescu have been making music individually as well, Padgett as Chicklette doing lofi covers. She is also the founder of the Love Buzz substack, which is so great. Angels In America debuted with the self-released Cunt Tree Grammer back in 2007 and went on releasing music until around 2012, only to return in 2015 with another album. Asphalt Green is a surprise return to making music, released in May via Halcyon Veil. They have a great tradition of appearing on cult labels like Primitive Languages, Big Love, Night People etc and this is simple adding to that streak. It’s like no time has passed at all.
