The most Latin-obsessed producer in Istanbul – Overkissed – is back with a new EP. Desfile Del Amor came out in May via the Berlin community NoFuture. With a title-track that samples Da Hool, this 6-track EP looks ahead at the same time as it glances over one shoulder. Of course Latin sounds are now abundant in European club contexts, but Overkissed adds a very personal touch. For example the massively playful “Jabber Jenerator” riffs on that same well-known tune but adds blaring, distorted stabs of bass. And closing track “Toma tom tom” is almost ridiculously great.
