Sal de Fête is a Brussels label that has been around since 2019. This is the first time I’ve come across it, but apparently one of the people behind is DJ Würm/Emma Dowdy, so I’m surprised I haven’t heard of it before. Their brand new compilation is called Grotesques and is dropping June 16. Among the 10 tracks you’ll find music from producers like Karolinda from Poland (pictured), deköm from Tunisia and Luna Lias from Italy. I love the span of sounds here, covering a lot of ground – just like their first compilation from back in 2020. DJ Würm also contributes, as do Apu Nanu and Emme (I’m guessing it’s the Emme from Berlin and not from Copenhagen, but we shall soon find out). Listen to two of the track below.
