A few years ago we wrote about Austin project Altar of Eden (one of many side projects of Nosferatu). Six years on from their first album The Grotto Screams, we’re presented with the follow-up. The Grotto Screams II came out on their own label Sound Grotesca in February, as an 10-track cassette. Someone already called it the best death rock record of modern times. Arguably there haven’t been many, but this album still hits all the right buttons. I wonder if Drunken Sailor will do us all a favour and put this out on vinyl like they have with past releases.
