Zaliva-D is a Chinese producer that I’m mostly familiar with due to the 2019 release on Knekelhuis. Well they’re really a duo, because apart from musician Li Chao, the Beijing-based outfit also consists of VJ Aisin-Gioro Yuanjin. They put out their sixth album so far via UK label Subkvlt at the end of April. 好奇 Curiosity is a 9-track LP that blends Asian influences with and dark electronic music. Boomkat may have called it sleepwalker-paced but I prefer hypnotic.
