Slikback has been on my mind a lot this month, seeing as he performed at Rewire in The Netherlands and then last weekend in Malmö for Intonal festival. His recent sets have been based on a new work called Friction, which saw him include adrenaline-fuelled gabber kicks and frenetic tempos to his already broken and heavy beats. Some of that can be felt on his new EP called Dekstrada that he put out through his own bandcamp April 21. It’s a 4-track EP that makes use of both techno rhythms and trance melodies. Slikback also has an upcoming show in Copenhagen for a co-curated Katharsis and Retreat Radio event.
