The Kitchenettes from San Francisco released a new 7” EP last month via Slumberland in the US and Meritorio in Europe. It follows the Discontinuous Innovation demo we wrote about two years ago and holds 3 tracks of lofi pop similar to local bands like April Magazine and Mister Baby. The trio consists of Morgan (The Umbrellas and Telephone Numbers), Emily and Sequoia (of The Snogs). They write the songs together and this is a beautiful slab of vinyl, reminiscent of classic records by The Softies (which were all reissued by K in 2024).
