Blue Communications is a trio from Naarm who’ve only been together for about a year. But they’ve had enough time to record their debut full-length, which came out on Program Records in collaboration with Southern Exposure Records in March. Laden with tape hiss, these 8 tracks remind me of so many great things, including Even As We Speak, The Room and Carla dal Forno. The self-titled LP encompasses several different moods, just like all the great records in history. It really makes me wish I could revisit Slow Boat Records in Wellington.
